I offer a variety of workshops aimed at providing meaningful arts experiences to adult learners. While most experiences are geared toward emerging artists, workshops can be tailored to meet learners of all levels where they are.
A 25% deposit is required to reserve your booking. Deposits are nonrefundable but may be applied to one rescheduled workshop with at least 48 hours' notice. Hosts are responsible for out-of-state travel expenses, when applicable.
This highly energetic and engaging workshop uses somatic practices, performance techniques, reflective writing, and group discussion to disrupt old patterns, shift creative energy, and fundamentally transform the way creatives approach their work. Designed for artists (but open to all) who want to deepen their practice or shake up their habits, this workshop creates space to reconnect to creative momentum. This is for anyone looking to realign a creative practice, excavate new ideas, or discover something new about themselves within a vibrant and supportive community.
Participants explore how sound shapes settings and evokes emotion for effective immersive storytelling. Workshops include creative worldbuilding prompts, deep listening exercises that help participants hear the world with greater intention, sound storytelling methods, and practical techniques for capturing high-quality recordings and producing polished audio. Using their own smartphones or provided equipment alongside free audio software, participants can capture field recordings, create original sound effects, compose short musical pieces, and edit them into finished audio works that transport the listener to an alternative setting. Designed with immediacy and technical accessibility in mind, the workshop moves quickly from introduction to hands-on production so every participant can break through creative blocks and leave with at least one completed track.
Participants learn to hear familiar environments in new ways by exploring the sounds that shape a place. Through guided listening walks and recording exercises, they develop active listening skills while learning techniques for capturing clean, expressive field recordings. Using their own smartphones or provided equipment alongside free audio software, participants transform their recordings into original sound compositions that reflect the character and atmosphere of their surroundings. Designed with technical accessibility in mind, the workshop emphasizes hands-on exploration and creative experimentation, with every participant leaving with a completed audio piece. Hosts are responsible for securing a safe location for the listening walk, obtaining any necessary permissions, and providing location details in advance. A walkthrough of the site with the instructor is required at least one hour before the workshop.

Projects I Won't Accept: AI voice cloning, AI-generated performances, voice models or datasets for machine learning, deepfakes or other synthetic media, political campaign advertising, gambling advertising, unpaid commercial work, or the imitation of existing performers or recognizable characters
Pricing starts at $100 for short indie projects, dependent on script length, editing requirements, and intended usage.
Larger commercial, audiobook, or long-form narration projects are quoted individually.
