Vantablack is a chamber work for string quartet that interrogates the tension between grief and the journey out of once-consuming darkness. Drawing on the metaphor of the light-absorbing material from which it takes its name, the piece explores the psychological and sonic properties of inner void - expansion, collapse, and escape.

Composed by Lashonda Love, was premiered by the ETHEL Quartet at Denison University in 2017.
