Counter Signals is a series of scores composed using asemic music notation and writing. The series presents messages moving across time and the metaphysical world, positioned as transmissions between past and future ancestors, and received as blueprints for liberating the present. These scores are interpreted through performance and embodiment, with each interpretation shaped by the conditions of its encounter.

Asemic notation and writing carry no fixed or inherent meaning and instead operate in these scores through use: the act of reading, performing, and moving with the score generates its significance within the experience of the interpreter. Each resulting work provides only an impression of the interpreter’s passage and varies with the individual.
