About
Lashonda Love is an interdisciplinary artist based in central Ohio. She holds her BA in Music from Denison University and is pursuing enrollment in an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts. Her work explores the cultural hauntings of colonial, patriarchal, and capitalistic corruption and oppression, trauma resilience, environmental decay, and cosmic & ecological kinship and intersectionality. Her work seeks liberatory and subversive methods of resistance as paths forward through darkness, offering a counter-narrative to despair.
Working in audio dramas, hybrid frame filmmaking, sound, voice, music, creative writing, and projection, her focus includes cosmic horror, psychological horror, and the absurd.
Lashonda has performed alongside the ETHEL Quartet, as well as a range of instrumental and dance works at Denison University; published research in collaboration with Denison University; and has served as the creative force behind UnBound Arts Collective and Pulsing Prism Productions. Her independently released works include a poetry collection, Sci-Fi audio dramas, and selected writings.
